Gibsons Chiropractic, Health and Wellness Centre Office Policies

  1. If an appointment must be changed, 24 hours notice is required so that the practitioner may service others in need of your time. Please let the Office Assistant know and changes will be made accordingly. For chiropractic care, it is recommended that all missed appointments be made up later in the same day or within 7 days to prevent loss of spinal correction.

  2. “No show” appointments are subject to be charged for the full fee (varies by practitioner or service). If remembering appointments is difficult for you, please request a complimentary reminder call, text, or email for the day prior to your appointment. If you are late, your appointment may be bumped or rescheduled. Expect a courtesy call if you are running late or miss your appointment.

  3. Payment is due at the time of the office visit unless a previous financial arrangement has been made. Please let us know if you wish to pay by cash, cheque, debit, or credit (visa or mastercard accepted). Receipts will be issued at the time of the visit, monthly or annually.   4. Refund Policy: Any unused prepaid visit fees will be refunded promptly (within three (3) business days) upon request or may remain as a credit towards future visits if you wish. You may decide at any time not to continue your prepayment billing arrangement, subject to payment of office visits that have already occurred, without financial penalty.

  5. Custom-made orthotics orders are subject to a $50 non-refundable deposit fee. You have a required 30 day break-in period, after which you are entitled to a modification or full refund if you are not fully satisfied with your orthotics. All orthotics are covered by a 1 year manufacturer warranty on materials.

  6. We will try to accommodate ‘walk-in’ patients whenever possible, however patients with pre-booked appointments will be served first. To avoid disappointment, please call ahead or book online.

  7. Please understand that we do not base your care program on your extended insurance or Medical Services Plan coverage and neither should you. There are limits to what they will pay. Our goal is to correct your problem in the shortest amount of time possible and in the most cost-effective manner.

  8. You will achieve the best results when you follow the practitioner’s recommended appointment schedule and home care advice. Remember: healing takes time. If you do not feel satisfied with your body’s responses, please request extra time for your next appointment to discuss this with your practitioner. We want you to get the most from your care.

  9. As Dr. Rosenberg is a published author and in order to continue trying to provide the best, most current chiropractic care available, Dr. Rosenberg is occasionally out of the office to attend seminars and conferences. Our other practitioners also attend many hours of continuing education – we will give you lots of advance warning and build your appointment schedule around those times.

  10. We appreciate seven (7) days notice for any requests for copies of records, x-rays or specialized account statements. Appropriate documentation, narrative report writing, copying, postage, and handling fees will apply.

  11. Please avoid wearing heavy perfumes or colognes in the clinic to accommodate our “scent-sensitive” patients and staff.

  12. We strive to create a relaxed, pleasant, family-friendly environment. Please speak with us if you have any concerns – your comments will help us to help others.

Any form of verbal, physical, sexual, or slanderous type behaviour will not be tolerated, and you may be asked to not request future treatments with the practitioner, and will be subject to review by management. You may be asked to refrain from using any services provided by the practitioners at Gibsons Chiropractic, Health and Wellness Centre, and/or you may be denied permission to use our online booking service.

NOTE:  Each practitioner is an independently-contracted sole proprietor, and it is within their discretion to refuse treatment for any breach of the above noted policy.  Gibsons Chiropractic, Health and Wellness Centre supports the practitioners within the clinic, and will oversee and use the policy above in order to maintain a healthy, positive, and safe work environment for each practitioner.
